Tuxford Academy’s year 7 student, Amelia Wan, won her first English Schools International cap playing in true links conditions at Irvine Golf Club on the West Coast of Scotland.
As usual, this was a tough match with the girls winning their singles matches 4-2 giving them an overall win of 5 ½ to 3 ½ after halving the morning foursomes.
Well done Amelia, great experience and we are sure you will be representing Nottinghamshire Schools and English Schools many more times in the forthcoming years.
The boys won their foursomes 4-2 but lost their singles 5-7 however, they retained the trophy as England were the current holders.
